Château-Garnier is a small village near the Clain river, with a dépôt de pain - épicerie, hairdressers, mairie and post office. Around 10 and 15 minutes away are the larger villages of Usson-du-Poitou and Gençay; both having a larger collection of shops and supermarkets, restaurants and bars.

The area has many attractions including the Belle Floral Gardens at Magné, Château de la Roche and last but not least Futuroscope on the outskirts of Poitiers.

Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Poitiers (46km) and Limoges (89km) and trains Anche Voulon - 18km to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels. 

The current owner bought the property in 2005 and would now like to concentrate his holidays in a different area of France.
