The village of Lathus St Remy has several shops, including bank, boulangerie, and bar and is only 13kms from the riverside town of Montmorillon famous for its Cité de l'Écrit in the Vienne and 16kms from the Collegial town of Le Dorat in the Haute Vienne and sits calmy into the beautiful countryside on the Vienne/haute Vienne borders.

Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (66kms) and trains in Montmorillon (13kms); having links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.

It is nice when you go to a house that has been sympathetically renovated, keeping as many of the original features as possible; this house ticks all the boxes with some lovely spacious rooms, beautiful original tiles floor and exquisite fireplaces.

The entrance hall is quite commanding and has quite a formal feel to it, the style fits the house perfectly, to the left you have a lounge/dining room and to the right you have a large salon/library. Directly in front of you are the stairs with two doors at the end of the entrance, one leading into the kitchen, one into a corridor which leads to the storeroom/barn. Directement en face de vous se trouve l'escalier avec deux portes au bout de l'entrée, l'une menant à la cuisine, l'autre à un couloir qui mène au cellier/grange. La cuisine est à double hauteur, avec une porte donnant sur les jardins privés.

Les propriétaires de la maison ont décidé de faire 2 chambres et une salle d'eau avec WC au deuxième étage, mais vous pourriez facilement convertir en 3 chambres si nécessaire et le palier (18.3m²) est un endroit idéal pour un canapé-lit.

Les propriétaires ont dit que, pour un prix, les meubles seraient disponibles, mais ils prendraient évidemment les photos personnelles/possessions et les pièces de famille de la maison.
